Legal Framework & Scope

These Terms of Service establish the binding rules between you ("Tourist" or "Tour Guide") and World Views India. By accessing our platform, Android app, or booking services, you agree to these provisions. Last updated: September 2026.

1 Platform Marketplace Model

World Views operates exclusively as a specialized digital marketplace connecting independent travelers with freelance, licensed, and regional tour guides across India. World Views is not a travel agency, transport operator, or employer. Every tour guiding agreement entered into via the platform is a direct bilateral engagement between the Tourist and the selected Guide.

2 Guide Credentials & Operational Duties

Tour guides registered on World Views represent and confirm under their own legal responsibility:

  • They hold valid Regional Level Guide (RLG) licenses issued by the Ministry of Tourism, ASI heritage accreditations, or authorized state tourism department certifications.
  • Their declared hourly rates, foreign and domestic language fluencies, and coverage areas are strictly accurate and up-to-date.
  • They shall not solicit off-platform direct transactions or divert reservations away from World Views checkout workflows.

3 Bookings, Pricing & Payment Escrow

Confirmed bookings guarantee the guide's dedicated professional time for the designated itinerary:

Monument Fees & Vehicle Transfers: Entrance tickets to monuments (such as Taj Mahal, Red Fort, or Qutub Minar), camera permits, vehicle rentals, tolls, and food/beverages are not included in the guide's fee unless explicitly booked as a composite package.

Escrow Safeguard: Traveler funds are safeguarded until the booked tour commencement, ensuring both parties are protected against unfulfilled engagements.

4 Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

Cancellations by Tourists: A 100% full refund is provided for cancellations submitted at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled tour start time. Cancellations requested within 24 hours are subject to a nominal compensation allowance paid to the assigned guide.
Cancellations by Guides: If a guide cancels due to an emergency, World Views promptly provides a verified alternative guide or initiates an immediate 100% full refund. Guides with repetitive unexcused cancellations are permanently removed from the network.

5 Heritage Etiquette, Safety & Zero-Commission Policy

All platform interactions require compliance with local hospitality standards and cultural preservation statutes:

  • Strict compliance with ASI monument regulations, religious guidelines, photography zones, and local dress decorum.
  • Zero Shopping Commission Harassment: Guides are strictly prohibited from pressuring tourists into specific emporiums, souvenir vendors, or unauthorized detour shops for kickbacks.
  • Guides must never desert a traveler before concluding the designated tour hours without mutual consent.

6 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent authorized under Indian Law, World Views and its operators bear no liability for unforeseen circumstances including transit disruptions, weather closures, monument access modifications, lost personal belongings, or personal physical conditions. Travelers are strongly encouraged to carry travel and health insurance coverage.
